All I can say is ....WOW, have I had the roller coaster ride of Fibro, etc. symptoms in spades this past week and weekend. It's all because of a steroid called Decadron.
I wouldn't recommend it. But I was having trouble with my neck and the "urge" to crack it so the doctor felt that it needed it, along with my back, because my legs kept falling asleep...pins and needles and finally totally numb.
Well, the "hell" I went through last week, for me, was enough to last me quite some time.
Now, I have residual pain all over which gives me that "bruised" all over feeling that makes taking a shower painful.
I was even on a steady dose of valium but that didn't help much. My mind would race and I felt "off" quite a bit.
Needless to say, I feel for ANY of you out there right now that are taking this medication or any version of steroids because it can be torture. I can't put it in a positive note, except to say that if you ARE on steroids, maybe you are only on them for a short period of time.
IF so, hope is near and please hang on and finish up.
HOWEVER, if you are having any really, truly bothersome symptoms, call your doctor. Make sure that what you're feeling isn't a serious side effect and not just a strange "symptom" of being on the med.
My friends, I am exhausted beyond where I've been in the past, so I bid you a very good night and hope your sleep is a restful and pain free one.
I will be back in the "swing" of my blog writing again very soon. Right now, it's all I can do just to keep going.
