Fibro friend, did you determine how you spend your day?

I discovered at least one thing that I do have a definite problem with and that's concentration.

No real surprise there because, we often find that as a symptom of Fibro. But I'm wondering how it affects those of you in the "real" world of work.

In my case, I am working on a relatively small project for a friend. It's not like I've "clocked in" and I have anyone expecting something or looking over my shoulder. That actually might help me.

But I found that I do need to focus a bit more on the task at hand or I have a chance to go from task to task and never really get any of them done. I could have finished the laundry and I could have finished this part of my friend's project.

I get distracted quite easily and I also find that my drowsiness has a huge impact on my focus as well.

Do I drink a gallon of coffee? Do I take more meds, that will help me stay alert? I'm not really sure.

I DO KNOW that I've been a bit low on my water consumption lately. I've spoken about being dehydrated before and I forgot to mention that lack of concentration is another side effect of dehydration. So, it's one thing to drink 6 cups of coffee, but another to maybe have 3 cups and replace the lost fluid with water as well. Don't count your 6 cups (or 3!?) as part of your water intake for the day. The reason for this is that coffee is actually dehydrating.

Remember, make sure you're drinking half your body weight in ounces of water, per day. More if you sweat or workout a lot. So, for me...well, let's say I weighed 140, then I should strive to drink 70 ounces of water per day. That's almost 9 cups. It helps to have a large, insulated water bottle as your constant companion. At least that's what works for me and many others that I know.

But going back to how I spend my day, I am going to try to stick to my schedule very closely so that by the time the 'night' rolls around, I can relax, rather than find myself behind on work. I'm not taking good care of myself if I don't keep my schedule and get my rest time.

How did you do with your schedule today? What did you spend most of your time on?

Remember things that you DO NOT need to be doing, can be either eliminated or delegated. You'll find if something really matters to you, you'll do it. Don't bother with things that don't serve the purpose that God has for you.

We'll talk more about God's purpose in an upcoming post.

What do you think God' s purpose is for those of us who are are disabled with Fibro? What about those who work with Fibro?

I'd love your thoughts......

Until tomorrow........

Blessings.......................
