A "good" post on sleep, my dear Fibro friends....

Sometimes I come across a decent post on sleep, which we know is a huge issue for us as Fibro-fighters.

This one, in particular, addresses some of the things that I hadn't thought of years ago when I was "fighting" to sleep.

Actually, "fighting" to sleep...in other words..."grinding your wheels" and thinking about NOT sleeping incessantly is also counterproductive to getting any sleep at all. It's almost like "reverse psychology". You're worrying SO MUCH about NOT sleeping, that it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I've had it happen and it is so very frustrating.

So, here is a link for a sleep article with "tips" to, hopefully, help you sleep better. One, in particular, that I've found effective is the "earplug" use and "light elimination" (even from your digital alarm clock!).

These are really just "healthy" tips on taking care of YOU so that sleep comes naturally and then you can avoid some of the meds, etc. that are being recommended by our doctors. Often meds for sleep can leave you feeling groggy or "foggy".

Here's the link:

Please feel free to add any ideas of your own in "comments". I'd love to hear them.

Until later.........................

Blessings....................................
