Food and Fibro - 103

If you've noticed, I'm not moving up the number level of this series very quickly. The reason for this is that, as I have noticed, people don't like change. I'm one of those people.

In addition, if you throw a BUNCH of changes on them at once, they tend to say "Forget it! I cannot do it".
I'm one of those two.

SO, how did your list or lists, compare with mine. Did mine seem boring?

Also, what did you think/feel about the question I asked you...do you live to eat or do you eat to live?

I have worked in two health spas/gyms over the last several years and I remember one nutritionist asking me that question.

It stuck.

If you live to eat, in other words, you live from meal to meal, waiting for the next bite, or the next snack and food is one of your favorite things in the world, you may end up making poor food choices. The reason is that you are building, or have built, your entire world around eating. Eating is everything and is a form of recreation for you.

HOWEVER, if you eat to live, then you're eating to keep yourself alive and healthy. In this case, you have far more things to love in your life than eating. You don't sit in front of the TV with a gallon of ice cream or a huge bag of buttered microwave popcorn. You probably are either crocheting, knitting, maybe doing your nails, or flipping through a magazine. But you are not eating to entertain yourself. It is not a form of recreation and it only serves to remove hunger and feed your body with the nutrition it needs.

Huge difference.

Having looked at these two ways of "eating", which category fits you?

I have my moments when both fit. However, I admit I was more the "live to eat" person, in the past, than I am now. Now, I mainly "eat to live", with the exception of a dinner out (which finances really don't permit) or  a desert that I've been craving and those aren't often.

I am not saying that you have to be totally "eat to live", because I believe food is to be enjoyed in moderation, just like most things in our lives. So, enjoy it!! However, make sure that it is not your only form of entertainment and joy. That spells trouble. Eating the  wrong thing, or blindly eating an entire bag of chips in front of the TV, is just not that great.

How do you feel about these two types of eating....

"Eating to live" and "living to eat"?

On which side to you fall? Mostly.....

Your thoughts and ideas are most welcomed....

Do something nice for YOU today....

Blessings...............
