I thought this would certainly be a scam, just like the others, HOWEVER, to my surprise, it turned out to be real. I was on a "recruiting" website looking for a "real" job. In the side bar, I saw an ad. for resume critics.
As a bit of background, I spent 8-9 years as a recruiter, so reviewing resumes seemed like a "no brainer".
Well, in addition to reviewing clients' resumes, we would be sending them "snippets" of what we found in our review and then offering them a rather "pricey" resume revision package. The revision was done by a certified resume writer, NOT me.
However, I found myself working from 7 am in the morning, not having time to even shower and finally trying to get dinner in my jammies at 7 pm when my husband and daughter finally told me they were starving to death.
I started to burn out after five months and the "kicker" was, one day, when I send a "stock" answer to a very "picky" customer, who complained to the owner that my review was less than helpful. She was right.
I was burnt out and tired and my "caring" didn't measure up anymore. They told me to reconsider if this was a good fit and I said it wasn't.
Believe me, the extra $900 - $1000, was welcomed but the effect on my health, well-being and my family life was NOT worth it.
So, be careful of ANY work at home opportunity. There are no "get rich" quick schemes and for real money, you WILL work. So called, "passive incomes" are for "investors". If you're like me, you don't have a ton of money to invest.
PLEASE be careful of any online work. DO NOT PAY to work. EVER!
Please have a painfree and stress free day my Fibro friend....make the best of life.
Blessings....
Mo M.
