I'm finally done....with the cleaning of the first floor of my home.
I'm tired and I'm in pain. The pain of Fibro used to scare me. It left me sick to my stomach and filled with anxiety. Now, I know that it means to stop and rest and that if I do that, before long, I'll be feeling better.
Please, if you have pain with your Fibro, don't try to clean your first floor. But if you have pain after it, and you cannot get help, realize that, you must NOW rest and that relief is on the way.
Pray to God. Thank him for getting you through it and now letting find some rest. If you take medications, this would be a good time to do it, if you don't take meds, try a heating pad or other "topical" solution.
Another option is, if you have it prescribed to you, some muscle relaxants or anti-anxiety meds. These will relax you. Painful muscles tend to tense up. You don't want that.
You also will need a distraction that you enjoy. Reading, watching TV, whatever it is, do it.
Before you realize it, you will find relief. It is only temporary, remember, but rest is the number one answer. Don't aggravate an already painful situation. Find rest my fellow "fighter".
Believe me, that pain you feel is real. Never let anyone tell you it's all in your head or that you need to exercise more or "whatever" more or less!? You know your body best.
There may be some days when you want to ask "Why me? Why do I have to suffer this way?"
I wish I had that answer. I believe that there probably is one too, but the only one who has it is God.
Unless he wishes to reveal it to you, for now, trust in him. For whatever reason we are in this together and we need to keep trusting that God, although we may not understand why, has our best interests in mind.
For now, he wants you to rest. Do so, and remember, your blessings.
Good night friend....
Mo M.
